HE-024-MC
HE series is the most common series of heavy-duty connectors, which are widely used in packaging machinery, textile machinery, industrial automation, wind power generation, etc. HE-024-MC is one of the six specifications in the HE series. It is connected by cold pressing and can withstand harsh environmental conditions such as vibration, impact, high temperature and corrosion. It is a good choice for working in harsh environments.

It can be observed that the ferrule of HE-024-M is equipped with 24 pins, whereas the ferrule of HE-024-MC has no pins at all. The underlying cause is that the former adopts a screw connection, and the latter employs a cold press connection. For this reason, it is important to note that when ordering ferrules with cold press connections, additional cold press pins must be ordered as well. Naturally, there are quite a few different choices available for cold press pins, and I will elaborate on them in detail in the following section.
Screw connection is more suitable for small and medium batch assembly, heavy-duty scenarios that require flexible maintenance or variable wire diameter specifications (such as equipment commissioning, on-site maintenance), but strict anti-loosening and regular inspection are required.
Cold press connection is the first choice for high reliability and large-scale production, especially in heavy-duty environments with severe vibration, high current, and long-term maintenance-free (such as rail transit, industrial robots), but it requires the initial investment of special equipment and strict control of the crimping process.
